Mesa View Regional Hospital Contributes to First Responder Project

Mesquite, NV – Mesa View Regional Hospital proudly announced a contribution of $5,000 to the City of Mesquite Fire Department’s ‘Bricks for the Brave’ project. The donation was presented by Mesa View Regional Hospital CEO, Mr. Kelly Adams, to Fire Chief Jayson Andrus during the regular City Council meeting held on Tuesday, December 10, at City Hall.

The ‘Bricks for the Brave’ project features a stunning 9-foot bronze statue of a First Responder carrying an American flag, installed on the grounds of the newly constructed firehouse on Mesquite Boulevard near City Hall. The statue stands as a powerful tribute to First Responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, including those who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001 attacks and countless others across the nation in communities large and small.

“We are honored to support this meaningful project,” said Mr. Adams. “First Responders play a critical role in our community, and this memorial serves as a lasting testament to their bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. At Mesa View Regional Hospital, we deeply value our partnership with the City of Mesquite’s First Responders and recognize the importance of this tribute for both our community and future generations.”

In addition to the statue, the project includes bricks engraved with the names of contributors, reflecting the generosity of local businesses, families, and individuals who came together to support the initiative. The hospital’s contribution will also fund a commemorative bench placed adjacent to the statue. The bench will feature a plaque recognizing Mesa View Regional Hospital’s appreciation for the vital collaboration between the hospital and First Responders in serving the community.

Fire Chief Jayson Andrus expressed gratitude for the hospital’s support, stating, “This generous donation from Mesa View Regional Hospital underscores the strength of our community partnerships. The ‘Bricks for the Brave’ memorial not only honors the legacy of fallen First Responders but also symbolizes the unity and shared commitment to public safety that we strive for in Mesquite.”

Mesa View Regional Hospital remains committed to enhancing the health, safety, and well-being of the Mesquite community. By supporting projects like ‘Bricks for the Brave,’ the hospital aims to ensure that the sacrifices of First Responders are never forgotten, and their stories continue to inspire acts of service and heroism.
